United Methodist Women

Purpose
The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

Who Is a Member
A member of United Methodist Women is any women who commits herself to PURPOSE and chooses to belong. United Methodist Women celebrates an inclusive membership and welcomes all women who want to become members. Being a member of The United Methodist Church is not required nor is there any minimum age requirement. Out of a commitment for mission locally and globally with women, children and youth, United Methodist Women choose to participate in meetings, prayer, financial giving, study, action and service. United Methodist Women is a community of women who nurture and encourage one another in their spiritual growth, personal leadership and transformation. As a member, you accept the challenge to expand concepts of mission.

Meets 1st Tuesday of the month at 10:00 a.m.

Naomi Circle
Meets 2nd Thursday of the month at 7:30 p.m.
Next meeting: TBA

Wesleyan Circle
Meets 3rd Wednesday of the month at 9:30 a.m.
Each Circle
 meets at a member's home during the rest
of the year. Please check back often to find

Tea Time &
Time for Thanks!
Saturday, November 1st
2-4:00 PM

Look in the back of your closet for that hat you used to love wearing! Dig into your dresser drawer and find those glove you though you would never wear again! Then keep them close so you can wear them on Saturday, November 1st. We will gather around our tea tables in Fellowship Hall from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. Enjoy Fellowship, Fun and Food and finish the day with your donation to the mission work of the United Methodist Women.

 

 

UMW Reading Program Lending Library...is growing

New books have been added and are available to UMW members and others who are interested in reading more in the areas of special interest: Education for Mission, Nurturing for Community, Social Action, and Spritual Growth. The "Library" will be visiting each of the circles so that the "Lending" may begin. See a Board office for more information.
