First Church The members of First Church have proclaimed the gospel of Jesus Christ since 1819 when the first Methodist Church was established in Hamilton and the "first meeting house" erected on Ludlow Street. Through successive generations members have remained faithful to their rich heritage of faith and contine "To Know Christ and Make Him Know".
